Docent en dirigent Michel Tilkin gaat tijdens deze projectweek aan de slag met de studenten klassieke muziek van KASK & Conservatorium. Ze concentreren zich op de Coriolanus Ouverture van Beethoven en Mendelssohns A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Michel Tilkin startte als trombonist bij het Philharmonisch Orkest van Rotterdam, en begon hier zijn samenwerkingen met grote dirigenten. Hij dirigeerde bij het Bangkok Symphony Orchestra, het Gelders Orkest uit Arnhem en het Limburgs Symphonie Orkest, maar bouwde vooral een stevige reputatie op in Duitsland waar hij onder andere dirigeerde bij de Nürnberger Symphoniker, de Philharmonie Südwestfalen en het Philharmonisch Orkest van Vorpommern.
During this project week, lecturer and conductor Michel Tilkin will be working with the classical music students at KASK & Conservatorium. They will be focusing on Beethoven’s Coriolanus Overture and Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Michel Tilkin began his career as a trombonist with the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, where he started collaborating with leading conductors. He has conducted the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra, the Gelders Orkest from Arnhem and the Limburg Symphony Orchestra, but has, above all, built up a solid reputation in Germany, where he has conducted, amongst others, the Nürnberger Symphoniker, the Philharmonie Südwestfalen and the Vorpommern Philharmonic Orchestra.
