Waar komt die reislust vandaan? En waarom zijn we er tot op de dag van vandaag onderhevig aan? Is het de drang naar het onbekende, of hoop op een betere toekomst? Wie zijn de reizigers die we onderweg tegenkomen, en welke verhalen dragen ze met zich mee? Op die vragen proberen Lieselot De Wilde (zang, tenorbanjo, draaiorgel) en Peter Verhelst (gitaar, ud) antwoorden te vinden aan de hand van liederen uit alle uithoeken van de wereld. Zo treden ze in de voetsporen van troubadours en andere reizende muzikanten. Humans have been traveling for as long as they have existed— for pleasure, out of necessity, to escape, or to reach something. Duo Bel Ayre playfully explores this Will to Wander. Where does this urge to travel come from? And why are we still subject to it today? Is it the drive toward the unknown, or the hope for a better future? Who are the travelers we encounter along the way, and what stories do they carry with them?
