De Muziekkapel Koningin Elisabeth, gevestigd in de modernistische hermitage nabij het Zoniënwoud, is al sinds 1939 een broedplek voor jong talent. Jaarlijks ontvangt ze vijftig uitzonderlijke muzikale talenten uit binnen- en buitenland om hen verder op te leiden en hun integratie in het professionele circuit te bevorderen. Deelname aan de Koningin Elisabethwedstrijd kan daarbij beslist helpen. Deze editie zullen drie pianisten uit de kapel naar het welbevinden dingen van voorzitter Gilles Ledure’s eminente jury. Bij wijze van voorbereiding op hun deelname aan de Koningin Elisabethwedstrijd spelen zij hun repertoire in onze eigenste MIRY Concertzaal. Met een beetje geluk ziet u de winnaar misschien wel een kleine maand vroeger aan het werk dan de doorluchtige Marlène de Wouters. Neen, gedistingeerder wordt het niet.
The Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, located in the modernist hermitage near the Forêt de Soignes, has been a breeding ground for young talent since 1939. Each year, the chapel receives fifty exceptional musical talents from Belgium and abroad for further training and to promote their integration into the professional circuit. Participation in the Queen Elisabeth Competition can certainly help in this respect. This edition will see three pianists from the chapel compete for the approval of chairman Gilles Ledure’s eminent jury. In preparation for their participation in the Queen Elisabeth Competition, they will play their repertoire in our very own MIRY Concert Hall. With a bit of luck, you may see the winner at work a little less than a month earlier than the illustrious Marlène de Wouters. No, it does not get more distinguished than that.
