De jeugdige strijkers, blazers en slagwerkers van SOV Young zijn ondertussen stevig opgewarmd. Ze leerden dit seizoen sterk op elkaar inspelen tijdens twee pittige projectweken en stonden al twee keer voor een volle zaal. Hun laatste project vraagt dan ook om een bijzonder programma: de Nabucco Overture van Verdi, Middagsheks van Dvořák en de Vijfde Symfonie van Mendelssohn. Nadien nemen we afscheid van deze formidabele equipe en houden we audities voor het volgende seizoen. Dirigent Martijn Dendievel, recent benoemd tot associate conductor bij het orkest, leidt het geheel als altijd in goede banen.
The youthful string, horn and percussion players of SOV Young are warmed up by now. This season they learned to interact strongly with each other during two project weeks and they have already twice performed in front of a full house. Their final project calls for a special program: the Nabucco Overture by Verdi, Afternoon Witch by Dvořák and the Fifth Symphony by Mendelssohn. Afterwards we say goodbye to this formidable team and hold auditions for the next season. Conductor Martijn Dendievel, recently appointed associate conductor with the orchestra, will lead the whole operation as always.
