Op haar tweeëntwintigste heeft de Marokkaanse pianiste Nour Ayadi al een bijzonder goed gevulde trofeeënkast met de Prijs Alfred Cortot als voorlopige hoogtepunt. Voorlopig want de dame houdt zich dezer dagen op in de bosachtige rust van de Muziekkapel Koningin Elisabeth. Ze trakteert er de vogels van het Zoniënwoud op koekjes van eigen deeg, id est, parelende preludes van Debussy en de zangerige Polonaise-Fantaisie van Chopin. Steviger komt ze voor de dag met de Schumanns Etudes Symphoniques en Liszts Après une lecture de Dante, fantasia quasi Sonata.
At twenty-two, Moroccan pianist Nour Ayadi already has a particularly well-stocked trophy case with the Alfred Cortot Prize as the highlight. The lady is currently residing in the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel. There she treats the birds of the Sonian forest to cookies of her own making, id est, pearly preludes of Debussy and the melodious Polonaise-Fantaisie of Chopin. She comes out firmer with Schumann’s Etudes Symphoniques and Liszt’s Après une lecture de Dante, fantasia quasi Sonata.
