Sinds hij in 2015 zowel de Eerste Prijs als de Publieksprijs op het Beethovenconcours in Bonn won, heeft de carrière van de Italiaanse pianist Filippo Gorini een hoge vlucht genomen. Tijdens zijn recente passages in heel wat prestigieuze Europese concertzalen is hem dan ook enkel lof te beurt gevallen. Na het cum laude afstuderen aan de Donizetti-academie in Bergamo en het afronden van een postdoctorale opleiding aan het Mozarteum in Salzburg, zet Filippo zijn studie voort bij Maria Grazia Bellocchio en Pavel Gililov, en wordt hij thans bijgestaan door Alfred Brendel.
In MIRY zal Gorini Brahms’ 7 Fantasien spelen, ‘een ware bron van genot, van alles, poëzie, passie, verrukking, intimiteit, vol met de meest wonderbaarlijke effecten’ (dixit Clara Schumann) en Schuberts sonate in Sol Groot, ‘de meest perfecte in vorm en ontwerp van al zijn sonates’ (dixit Robert Schumann).
Since winning both the First Prize and the Audience Prize at the Beethoven Competition in Bonn in 2015, Italian pianist Filippo Gorini’s career has gone from strength to strength. His performances in many of Europe’s prestigious concert halls have earned him unanimous critical acclaim. After graduating with honours from the Donizetti Academy in Bergamo, and completing a postgraduate course at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Filippo continues his studies with Maria Grazia Bellocchio and Pavel Gililov, and is mentored by Alfred Brendel.
In MIRY Gorini will play Brahms’ 7 Fantasien. ‘a true source of enjoyment, everything, poetry, passion, rapture, intimacy, full of the most marvellous effects’ (dixit Clara Schumann) and Schubert’s G Major sonata, ‘the most perfect in form and conception of any of his sonatas’ (dixit Robert Schumann).
