Diamanda La Berge Dramm groeide op in Amsterdam in een muzikale familie en speelt viool sinds haar vierde. Al op jonge leeftijd werd ze omringd door spilfiguren uit de klassieke muziek, de avant-garde- en improvisatiescene. Pas dertien bracht ze bij de opening van het Holland Festival 2005 in Het Concertgebouw Louis Andriessens’ solowerk Raadsels in première. Dramm studeerde in Den Haag, Boston en Amsterdam en ontving na haar diplomering de John Cage Award voor haar inzet voor de hedendaagse muziek. Inmiddels groeide ze uit tot een internationaal succesvol solist, kamermusicus en bandlid. Dramm werkte intensief samen met muzikale vernieuwers als Alvin Lucier, Garth Knox en Georg Friedrich Haas. Samen met GAME brengt ze een programma dat haar praktijk als violiste, componiste en curator in de kijker zet.

Diamanda La Berge Dramm grew up in a musical family in Amsterdam and began playing the violin when she was just four. She was surrounded by key figures in classical and avant-garde music, as well as the improvisation scene, from a young age. When she was just 13, for the opening of the Holland Festival, she premiered Louis Andriessen’s solo work, ‘Raadsels’, on the stage of the Concertgebouw. Dramm studied in The Hague, Boston and Amsterdam and won the John Cage Award for her efforts on behalf of contemporary music. She has become an internationally successful soloist, chamber musician and band member. Diamanda Dramm has worked intensively with such musical innovators as Alvin Lucier, Garth Knox and Georg Friedrich Haas. Together with GAME, she presents a programme that highlights her practice as a violinist, composer and curator.
